World of Warcraft’s newly-introduced ‘Old World’ flying event is well underway, and it allows players to race in circuits across Kalimdor for rewards purchasable using specialRiders of Azeroth Badgeswhich can be earned from the races. World of Warcraft: The Kalimdor Cup, Explained

Fromnow until August 25, you can participate in circuits to earn badges and buy rewards. First thing’s first – talk toLord Andestrasz next to the Rostrum of Transformationin Valdrakken for the intro quest. This will take you through three introductory races as a primer before you’ll be able to access the other races.

There aresixteen cups totalwith three races each spread out across Kalimdor. Each race rewardsup to three badges, one for each rank of bronze, silver, or gold. This means you can earn atotal of 154 badgesper character, but you only need 240 badges to purchase all currently available rewards.

Kalimdor Cup Rewards

The currently available rewards are purchasable from the NPCMazthain Valdrakken using your Riders of Azeroth Badges:

If you’re aiming for just the transmog set (and why wouldn’t you be, just look at it!) you’re all set to run everything on just one character – getting gold on all races will net you the required 140 badges, plus 14 extra. But if you want the whole shebang, you’ll need to run everything again on an alt to get enough badges for the drake customizations as well.
