Since their introduction to Fortnite, chickens have had quite a journey. They’re handy little buddies to have in your inventory, providing fall damage, healing, and companionship. Now, with Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2, you can catch yourself a golden chicken touched by Midas himself.
Where to find a Golden Chicken
Golden Chickens are the same as regular old chickens. This means you can find them wherever you would normally find a chicken in Fortnite. You should be able tofind the golden chicken in grassy places, on farms, and at thevarious new POIsin Chapter 5, Season 2 of Fortnite. I head straight for Fencing Fields for my chickens.
The Golden Chicken in Fortnite behaves pretty much the same as it always did. However, now it has a little extra trick up its sleeve. Shooting the chicken will result in gold bars, and startling them will make them lay a golden egg. Picking up the golden egg will give you gold bars to spend around the map.
As usual, the Golden Chicken will provide its usual Fortnite bonuses. Keeping one with you will negate fall damage, and you can always kill them for their delicioushealth-providing meat. However, carrying a chicken will stop you from being able to sprint as a payment for no longer having fall damage and the boost to jump height.
Where to spend your Fortnite gold
Now that you have an abundance of Fortnite chicken-smelling gold in your pockets, you need to start spending it. you’re able to invest your savings at various points around the map to become more powerful.
