Warner Bros. has just confirmed that they are already working on a sequel toHogwarts Legacy, and fans won’t have to wait too long to enjoy it, as they expect to release it within a couple of years, meaning it could arrive in 2026.

Hogwarts Legacy 2 Is a Reality

Gunnar Wiedenfels, the CFO of Warner Bros., confirmed this continuation during an interview at the 2024 Bank of America Media, Communications, and Entertainment Conference this past Wednesday.

“Obviously, a successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of the top priorities in a couple of years. So, there’s certainly a significant contribution to the growth of that [games] business in our strategic outlook.”

In an interview with Variety earlier this year, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment President, David Haddad, mentioned that the company planned to follow up on the success ofHogwarts Legacywith Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, which was released on September 3, and “a series of other things” that “will allow fans to be part of this world, stories, and characters in increasingly deeper ways.”

This past June, a leak revealed that after the notable failure ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Rocksteady would be working on a new version of Hogwarts Legacy, something like a Director’s Cut. This is expected to be announced in the coming months and will serve as a teaser whileHogwarts Legacy 2is introduced.
