Theunc0verjailbreak tool for iOS 11.0-12.1.2 was updated on Tuesday to version 3.0.1 as an incremental update from the previous release, which spent several months evolving over the course of 50-something beta updates.

Pwn20wndannounced the update via Twitter Tuesday afternoon, noting that unc0ver v3.0.1 contained important bug fixes in addition to miscellaneous improvements:

30-06-2025 – v3.0.1 was released for production with the following changes:

– Iterate the proc list with proper data locks in Unrestrict to fix a possible race condition in the kernel (Important stability fix)

– Fix a typo in the app

– Fix a bug in logging

– Add iOS 12.1.3 – 12.2 support for the restart button

Without a question of a doubt, the most important change in this update is the stability fix, which should improve unc0ver’s long-term reliability. The update also lets iOS 12.1.3-12.2 users use the unc0ver app to restart their device(but it cannot jailbreak these firmware versions).

Unc0ver v3.0.1 is not a beta, but rather a public release, and so we recommend that all unc0ver users download and install the latest update to ensure they have the most recent fixes and patches available.

It’s worth noting that unc0ver v3.0.1 can jailbreak all versions of iOS 11.0-12.1.2 on any iOS device, but A12(X) devices are only partially supported at the time of this writingdue to the lack of a compatible Cydia Substrate for these devices. This means A12(X) devices won’t get Cydia or CydiaSubstrate, but will have access to root. Pwn20wnd is trying to change this by implementing support for Substitute in the future.

Unc0ver v3.0.1can be downloaded directly from Pwn20wnd’s official GitHub repository.
