In an interview with Easy Allies, The Witcher 4’s director, Sebastian Kalemba, and executive producer, Gosia Mitręga, were asked about Gwent’s inclusion in Ciri’s adventure. While they couldn’t share specific details at this stage of development, their responses are highly encouraging for fans of the minigame.

“We love the game [Gwent] and always listen closely to the community, which we love and find amazing,” Mitręga said. “I don’t think anyone will be disappointed.” Kalemba added that the card game “is definitely part of the experience. We love Gwent too.”

For instance, it has been revealed that Ciri’s English voice actor will be different, Geralt will play some role in the story, and fans won’t have to wait more than two years for its release.

“A new saga begins.” With this message, the Polish studio introduced its latest game:“The Witcher IV is a single-player open-world RPG. At the beginning of a new saga, players take on the role of Ciri, a professional monster hunter, embarking on a journey through a brutal dark fantasy world. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, it aims to be the most immersive and ambitious open-world Witcher game to date.”
