How to unlock Kyle in The First Descendant
Before you can play with Kyle in The First Descendant, naturally, you’ll need to unlock him. Here’s how to get Kyle:
That’s a pretty long shopping list, butobtaining the research materialsisn’t the worst part. Farming for Kyle’sCore Research Materials(Blueprints and Code) is the bane of anyone trying to unlock a new Descendant.

To make things easier, I’ve gathered thebest way to get and unlock all of Kyle’s Blueprints and Codein The First Descendant:
Unfortunately, deconstructing the Kyle Spiral Catalyst canonly be done on Hard mode, which is unlocked after completing the campaign.

This means that there’s little point in grinding for the other Blueprints and Code on Normal mode for minuscule chances. So if you do want Kyle, I’d suggest completing the game first to dramatically improve your chances, meaningmuch less grindingwill be required.
Now that we know how to get Kyle, let’s go overhis skills and recommended equipment.

Kyle playstyle and skills explained in The First Descendant
To effectively use Kyle in The First Descendant, you’ll need to bestknow all his skillsand how he plays so you’re able to effectively beat down your enemies.
Here are all of Kyle’s skills in The First Descendant:
The crux of Kyle’s playstyle is essentially tanking as much damage as possible to allow forexplosive plays that nuke groups of enemiesat a time. In doing this, you’re also taking the heat off your allies and helping to keep their shields up.
Building up Magnetic Force through Repulsion Dash and Magnetic Bulwark and then discharging it through Magnetism Spurt and Superconductivity Thrusters is theskill loopthat Kyle employs to switch between defending his allies and punishing his foes.

If you are to play Kyle, you’llneed to be on the frontlines, dealing with enemies to allow your allies to pick them off before you blast them to smithereens yourself.
Best Kyle build in The First Descendant
Now that we know how best to play Kyle in The First Descendant, let’s go over thebest gearfor him.
Best Kyle Modules
The Modules that you equip for Kyle will make determine how much damage his Magnetic Force can supply. As you level up your Mastery, prestigeKyle, anduse Energy Activators, you’ll be able tohold more of the Modulesto punish your foes.
Here is a list ofall the Modules I’d recommendfor Kyle:
Kyle’s recommended Modules mostly deal with increases hismax shields and DEF, as his max Magnetic Force is proportional to his max shield. So an increase in max shields allows him to store more Magnetic Force to make his attacks more powerful.
Naturally, as Kyle is also all about large explosive attacks, you’ll want toincrease his Skill Powerto make sure that when he does use his Magnetic Spurt or Superconductivity Thrusters, he’ll dealhugedamage.
verify toupgrade these Modulesto make the most out of them!
Best Kyle Reactor Stats
Considering Kyle’s skills are all Non-Attribute,you’ll want a Materialized Reactor, as these ones benefit from Non-Attribute Skills.
There are different types of Materialized Reactors that pair well with different skill types. Kyle’s Repulsion Dash and Superconductivity Thrusters skills areTech Skills, and magnetic Bulwark and Magnetism Spurt areDimension Skills.
If you want his Dimension Skills to receive higher damage, go for aMaterialized Phase Reactor. If you want his Tech Skills to receive higher damage, go for aMaterialized Mechanics Reactor.
I’d personally recommend you go with the Materialized Mechanics Reactor asboth of those skills deal damageas opposed to his Dimension skills.
Best Kyle External Components
Kyle may already be pretty strong, butExternal Componentscan help bring him up to higher standards.
As different components can help with the same stats, I’ll mention thestats that you’ll want to have increasedand the most powerful External Components for the job:
Considering Kyle is a tank, you’ll want the External Components to reflect this. Again, the more shields you have, the more Magnetic Force you can have, increasing the damage dealt from specific skills.
You could alternatively select an External Component that increases his HP Recovery, as you’ll need all the help you can getshould his shields run dry,but that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
Best weapons for Kyle in The First Descendant
Although Kyle has some staggering abilities, you’ll needan equally staggering gunto dispatch your enemies whilst you’re building up your Magnetic Force.
For Kyle, I’d recommend theUltimate weapon Thunder Cage.
The Thunder Cage is the easiest Ultimate weapon to farm for, allowing you to make it incredibly powerful in a relatively short period of time. The Overcharge ability has a set chance for defeated enemies to deal additional damage to other enemies which is great forkeeping enemies at bay.
For your other weapons, I’d strongly suggest aShotgun and a Hand Cannon. Considering you’ll be up close to your enemies on the front line, the Shotgun will allow you to blast away groups of enemies, and the Hand Canon will provide a more accurate means to focus on a single enemy at a moderate range.
Now that you know all you need todominate with Kylein The First Descendant, all you need to do is grind to get everything you need. Make sure you know how to getall the research materials!
