Sony announces their next State of Play will be all about upcoming action samurai title Ghost of Tsushima.

Sony’s Next State of Play to Feature Ghost of Tsushima

The next State of Play will have a whole episode focusing on Ghost of Tsushuma which will launching on PS4 on July 17th. The broadcast will include a closer look at gameplay footage which includes exploration, combat and more. The episode is set to last around 18 minutes long. The livestream will take place onThursday 14th May at 1:00PM PT/4:00 PM ETon Twitch and Youtube. Sony have also stated there won’t be any PS5 news or updated during this State of Play in case you were wondering.

Ghost of Tsushima is an open-world samurai tale focusing on action-adventure combat, set in Japan in 1274, following the Mongol invasion. The story follows the feuding sides as warfare, chaos and violent change ensues. Players will follow the protagonist Jin Sakai, a warrior skilled in the art of the samurai in a tale of “revenge, empowerment, and hope”.

In other Sony news,Playstation Studioshas been established which is an umbrella brand for first-party titles which will include Ghost of Tsushima, but will not be in time for this title’s launch.

Ghost of Tsushimawill be releasing on Playstation 4 on July 17th. Don’t forget to check out thepre-order editionshere if you’re planning on snapping up the samurai title.
