What Happens in Ragnarok Stays in Ragnarok
Ragnarok is the sequel to God of War 2018 which continues Atreus and Kratos' Norse journey into new lands. Players can enjoy a brand-new epic adventure full of mythical enemies, thrilling combat and jaw-dropping visuals. Of course there are new brutal adversaries to face and epic combat to experience in this new instalment of the God of War franchise. Explore the rich world of Norse mythology as you battle against mythological enemies and tackle intense challenges with visceral combat.
What’s new in this chapter is the use of unique gear, such as the upgradeable Leviathan Axe. With increased strength and upgraded abilities, the axe can take out numerous foes in a single swing. Plus, with unique skills such as Shattered Gauntlet and Spartan Rage, Kratos can knock down vicious opponents with ease.
Of course no Norse adventure would be complete without well-known mythological characters making an appearance such as Thor. Be prepared for plenty of “brother” to replace the infamous “boy” counter.
Our own Fex called God of War Ragnarok a “highly polished” continuation of the reboot, ticking a lot of boxes in itsreview. Giving it high praise and a score of 9 (not an easy task for a game to do). Its “high production values” and improved combat will have any God of War fan feeling they have been blessed by the gods.
What’s in PS Plus Premium
PS Plus Premium offers players the standard perks of the lower-end tiers Essential and Extra, however also adds access to over 300+ games. These games include downloadable PS, PS2 and PSP games, with PS3 games being streamable via cloud. Another perk of the Premium Tier will allow game demos for users so they can decide if they really want to purchase certain titles.
Other first party titles to have received trials include The Last of Us Part 1 Remake, the action-adventure Horizon Forbidden West, MLB The Show 2022 and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
God of War Ragnarok has been out for three months but has yet to receive a price cut. So if you’re been eager to have a go at swinging that axe, but still on the fence this could be a good way to check out the game. This trial is only available for PS Plus Premium members, but those who have lower tiers can upgrade if they want to access this trial and other perks.
