Azelf is the third member of the Lake Guardians Trio and a 5-star raid in Pokemon GO. It has the highest Attack stat of this trilogy and the lowest Defense, meaning this one will be the easiest member of the trilogy to take down in small parties.
Azelf will be available in the Americans onlystarting February 21 at 10:00 am local time and ending February 22 at 10:00 am local time.

Azelf is aPsychic-typePokémon, giving it weakness toDark-, Bug-, and Ghost-typemoves. It is resistant to Fighting- and Psychic-type moves. It’s not a whole lot of Pokémon to choose from, but many of the Pokémon that will be good against Mesprit aren’t hard to get!
Being a Psychic-type Pokémon, Azelf is weather boosted byWindyweather conditions. If you catch it during this weather, it will be more powerful. However, given that these conditions may come with actual risks to your person, be wise when you decide to go out or not. It may be worth it to stay in and remote raid instead.
Assuming you and your partner have best in slot counters,Azelf can be duoed.Of all of the Lake Trio Pokemon, Azelf will be the easiest to duo due to his low Defense stat. However, in the interest of saving time, we recommend you tackle Mesprit with at least 3-4 Trainers with high level counters. If you do not have group of solid trainers, aim for something like 7-8. The more people you get, the faster these raids will go by. Remember, take advantage of the buffs you get from Party Play! It’s free damage, if you’re all together anyway.

As ever, if you have Shadow variations of the Pokémon listed below, they will be better picks over their normal counterparts.Shadow Pokémon do more damagethan their regular counterparts (even with mediocre IVs), so consider taking them for this raid for the extra damage.
