Afterlaunching video chatin its built-in messaging feature, aptly named Direct, earlier this summer, Facebook-owned Instagram today began rolling out voice messages. Instagram has been testing this for at least four months. The feature’s implementation is very similar to voice messaging capability available in Apple’s iMessage complete with how you initiate a voice recording and send it to the recipient(s). This is how the experience of creating a voice message on Instagram looks like....

The iPhone’s familiar slide-to-unlock gesture was subjected to multiple lawsuits, but the feature itself has barely changed since the handset’s inception nearly a decade ago. With iOS 10, however, Apple has made some plenty significant changes to the Lock screen while introducing a brand new way to get into your phone. Because swiping to the left on the Lock screen now takes you directly to the Camera app, ”Slide to unlock” has been replaced with “Press home to unlock”....

LG has announced the 2021 update to its Tone Freetrue wireless headphones, making the big move to active noise cancellation. This, in addition to the existing physical isolation offered by these headphones and the ambient sound mode as offered on the previous generation, makes for a compelling feature set. There are three mics on these headphones to support the noise cancellation system, but there’s also a clever “whisper mode”, letting you remove an earbud and whisper into it during calls, so you can keep conversations private if you’re in a crowded space....
