Ozma Patterns
Ozmawill stand in place at the very beginning of the fight and won’t be as forward attacking for the first 10–15 seconds ofPhase 1, allowing you to attack and get a stagger on him before he begins with his moveset. None of his ground melee attacks do heavy build-up damage if you block, so useBrink Guardat every chance you can on his simpler slashes and wing attacks before moving intocounterattacks.
Take avitality orbafter you staggerOzmato ensure you have a faster stamina regen, as he will start coming at you faster than he did at the beginning of the phase. Time your Brink Guards and catch him with another stagger andBrutal Blow.If Ozma takes to the sky with his javelin, it will take him a while to use it to attack. Watch carefully andBrink Guardthe moment he throws it at you to block the damage and take aChaos Cleanseimmediately right after to reduce the chaos build-up bar.

At half health,Ozmawill use more tracking orbs and his wing attacks to exhaust the player, and use your stamina wisely in between any aerial assaults, especially his dive bombs and outward delayed grabs.
Ozma Advanced Patterns
After you deplete his first health bar,Ozmawill power himself up and heal back to full forPhase 2. Moving faster with his previous moveset, he gains a few new patterns to watch out for. Ensure you have at least four mainhealing orbsfor this phase of the fight, along with alternative methods to outlast his health and stamina; otherwise, his attacks will take chunks of health away if unprepared. Ozma will open up by charging a javelin and throwing it downward in a blinding white arc; this move can’t be dodged orBrink Dodged, soBrink Guardinstead to alleviate most of the damage that would be done.
Ozmawill also use different elemental AOE’s outside his fire AOE from Phase 1, using a mix of chaos, fire, and ice. Have those cleansing potions on hand to prevent multiple build-ups at once from the beginning. Aside from the larger AOE in chaos and fire, the move patterns are similar no matter the element, and can be dodged and run away from.

Near the end of his second health bar depletion, Ozma summons a glowingChaos Rockthat you’ve seen in later dungeons in the game. Destroy and focus the rock quickly before it explodes, and Ozma regains his stamina back in full, and you’ll take the punishing damage. Charged attacks and combos are the best for negating the Chaos Rock.
The First Berserker: Khazan - How to Beat Princess Ilyna
Can’t beat the princess in The First Berserker: Khazan? Here’s what you need to do.
Upon the depletion of his third health bar,Ozmawill undergo one last transformation and have his health bar and stamina completely consumed by the dark purple color of chaos. In this phase, have at least one method of healing left, along withKhazan’s Phantom Form, ready to be activated in the case of an accidental one-hit KO. His unblockable grab is more deadly in this phase, as if he catches you, he will knockBlade Phantomout of theplayer.
Ozmawill reuse his moves fromPhase 2.However, his exhaustion will now stack faster, so use the majority of your charged attacks to whittle him down. At each exhaustion level, upon usingBrutal Blow, a large chunk of his health will disappear as moreChains of Charonwill be used on his body, slowingOzmadown slightly; this can also lead to some delays in his usual attack flow. He will use his unblockable attacks more often in this phase, keep dodging out and back in to punish him as he won’t move for two seconds after striking.
Chaos build-upwill happen faster, so ensure you use yourChaos Resistance potionsorChaos Cleanse Potionswhen the build-up starts to get near half on your left sidebar. Eventually, you’ll take downOzmaand be rewarded with one last cutscene of theBlade PhantomsshacklingOzmawith chains and delivering him toCharon’sdoorstep in theNetherworld.
