Nintendo will holding a Direct Partner Showcase this week to reveal games coming to Switch in the first half of 2024.
Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase Arrives On February 21st
Later this week, Nintendo will broadcast a new Nintendo Direct that will reveal the upcoming Switch games for the first half of 2024. This will be a “Partner Showcase,” which will highlight the games developed by third-party studios for the Switch.
The showcase was announced on X which shares it will be quite a lengthy 25 minutes. It will take place onWednesday, February 21st at 6:00 AM PST/ 9:00 AM EST/ 2:00 PM GMT/ 3:00 PM CET. You can watch it on the official Nintendo Youtube channel.

What makes this Direct possibly a little different from previous ones is it comes fresh off the heels of Xbox’s announcement. Microsoft will be bringing four exclusive titles to more platforms in future. While they didn’t reveal those exact titles, it’s speculated it could include Hi-fi Rush andPentiment. Whether we will see more games come to additional platforms such as the Switch. News of further games may come at another time but the Nintendo Direct would be as good a place as any for these kinds of reveals.
The previous Nintendo Direct was in September, which focused on third-party games. It announced titles such asUnicorn Overlord, SaGa Emerald Beyond, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered and more. We’ll have to wait and see what this Direct will have in store for Nintendo fans for 2024.

When Will We Switch Up?
Rumours are still milling on when Nintendo will reveal the Switch’s upgrade version, but there is no confirmed news from Nintendo as of yet. Reports that a new model could be coming in Q1 2025, with possibilities of a launch around Christmas this year according to sources close to VGC. Third-party game companies were given an expected timeline of late 2024 to early 2025.
For now, take this with a heavy pinch of salt as rumours of the Switch 2 have been around for quite some time.
