Sad news for those of us Ni No Kuni fans, but Bandai Namco has announced thatNi No Kuni 2would be delayed until January 19th, 2018. Level-5’s sequel was to land November 10th, 2017 for the PS4 and PC.
Ni No Kuni 2 Delayed to 2018
In a video message on Bandai Namco’s Twitter, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino goes into the reasons for the delay. He states that the studio needed more time to add the polish they expect for the game.
The game is set hundreds of years past the first game and finds the cat and mouse tribes at war. In it, the mouse tribe initiates a hostile takeover of the kingdom and the main protagonist, Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum from the cat tribe is tossed from his kingdom. He sets out on a mission to reclaim his throne, aided by his allies Tani and Roland.

We got to play Ni No Kuni 2 hands on during E3 2017 and found it visually delightful as expected, with a depth to the battle system that could surprise some who have dismissed it as a kids game. you’re able to read ourfull impressions here(humblebrag: we killed both bosses).
It’s certainly never pleasant to see the game’s delayed. However, in the name of polish and day one stability, it doesn’t hurt to take extra time. Thoughts on the Ni No Kuni 2 delay? Sound off in the comments.
