Rich Newbold, the director ofJurassic World Evolution2, uploaded a post on thePlayStation Blogdiscussing the expansion, which will directly tie into this year’sJurassic World Dominionfilm. The expansion takes place before the events of that film, and it will see players working alongside several of the movie’s characters to establish parks on three Mediterranean islands.

Players will “establish key buildings, develop [their] sites, and trade on the dinosaur exchange to acquire more species, eggs, and even genome data.” To develop the parks even further, players need to build a rapport with either the Authorities or the Underground.

The roster of dinosaurs grows

With this DLC expansion comes a variety of brand new dinosaur species to include in your parks, including the Atrociraptor, Lystrosaurus, and Moros Intrepidus. These species, along with the newly added variants for pre-existing species, mostly hail fromJurassic World: Dominion, so those who enjoy that film may like what they see here.

Additionally, thisJurassic World Evolution 2DLC will let players decorate their parks will all sorts of buildings inspired by the films on release, including the Acquisition Center and viewing gallery. Players can also make use of the new natural lagoon — a first for the game — and populate it with aquatic species.
