The original manga that Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening is based on, “Cobra,” was written starting in 1978 by Buichi Terasawa, with the anime series following a few years later in 1982. At the time, it was able to quickly gain a large following thanks to its exciting plot and well-blended mix of mystery, action and sci-fi elements. That said, it seems that much of its popularity can be attributed to its charismatic, cybernetic arm-cannon-wielding main character, Cobra.

Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening will be available digitally in two different versions depending on whether one is purchasing on PC or on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Switch once it launches on August 25.
The version coming to the latter platforms is the Gold Edition, which includes the full game, the “Smoking Gun” skin and “The Roulette of Death” bonus mission. The PC’s Deluxe Edition, on the other hand, includes all of these bonuses as well as a digital art book and soundtrack.
