The Vision serieshas added another intriguing member to its expanding cast. A report fromDeadlineannounced that Ruaridh Mollica has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a recurring role in the Disney+ show. Ironically, the actor most recently appeared in the HBO original seriesThe Franchise, which parodies the chaotic productions of giant superhero blockbusters. TheVisionseries will serve as the second spinoff toWandaVision, taking place after the events of the final episode, which saw the newly resurrected Vision fly off and leave Westview.
The report from the news outlet also states that Mollica will play a character named Tucker. Like most MCU projects currently in development, details about “Tucker” are being kept under wraps. Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision on his journey to regain his humanity, and the cast is rounded out with some familiar faces (and voices), with James Spader returning to voice Ultron and rumors have circulated online that Kerry Condon would be returning to reprise her voice role as Tony Stark’s A.I. assistant Friday, though that hasn’t been confirmed.

Todd Stashwick was recently cast in the series, apparently playing an assassin tasked with tracking down the android and the technology that Vision is in possession of. Stashwick’s casting makes sense, as the actor played a key role in the Paramount+ showPicard, executive-produced by Terry Matalas, the newest showrunner forVision. The talent rounding out the series comes with the news thatVisionis reportedly set to begin filming this year, with a release more than likely coming in 2026.
The Upcoming ‘Vision’ Series Has Several MCU Deep-Cuts
Vision’s quest to find a new purpose and rediscover who he was before the events ofAvengers: Infinity Warwill hopefully make the show as thematically engaging as it is action-packed. The large number of new players makes the show feel like a real event in the MCU, but it’s the surprising returns that will intrigue hardcore MCU fans more than anything. Aside from Spader’s return as Ultron (though we aren’t sure if it’s as a memory, a full-on return of the android, or a new form), there was also the news that Faran Tahir, who played Tony Stark’s captor in the very firstMCU movieIron Man,will be returning as Raza.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Director Confirms Wolverine Connection Every MCU Fan Already Knew Was Coming
The MCU is about to make one of the biggest leaps towards the X-Men with a new discovery in ‘Brave New World.’
Vision’s character is closely entwined with Tony Stark/Iron Man, as he was born out of Stark’s first AI Jarvis, while also being a creation of Ultron. The character’s messy family history will undoubtedly play a role in the series' story as the android fights to regain his identity, which will likely explain the inclusion of such a minor character as Raza, who only appeared in the firstIron Manmovie. The inclusion of young talent like Ruaridh Mollica into the MCU is exciting, regardless of the nature of the actor’s role. BesidesVision, MCU fans are preparing for several new Disney+ Marvel shows in the near future, includingDaredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, andWonder Man.
