Lost Ark is getting some cool new updates in the next week. Arktoberfest is also here upon us, another chance to celebrate!

Lost Ark is Gearing Up Ironman Style with the Upcoming Machinist Class

Welcome back to Arkesia, heroes! Content this August for the popular Amazon Games published MMO Lost Ark has been rather small in comparison to other months. Last month introduced a nice little Stronghold distraction, the Pet Ranch as well as a few other mini events to act ascatch-up mechanics. Other updates earlier this September saw the groundwork laid down for an upcoming Server Merge (which we will get to later).

This is all well and good, but new shiny things are the most exciting things to look forward to! Good to know that coming next week, on September 28, a large update will be upon us. Western Lost Ark will be getting the Machinist Class and the Kakul-Saydon Legion Raids!

The Lost Ark Machinist Taking Aim

Rage Against the Machinist

Introducing the Machinist, Lost Ark’s next advanced class.Julygot theArcanist, theDestroyerback inMay, and theGlaivierway back inApril. The Machinist in Lost Ark (called Scouter in other regions) is the most technologically advanced class. He makes use of a trusty drone companion that has more weapons hidden inside it than physically possible. This drone helps analyze and bombard enemies from a distance, raining hell on any hapless monster.

The most unique thing about the Machinist, however, is their class identity. Much like a Shadowhunter, the Lost Ark Machinist can transform into a different form using his Hyperscync Technology Suit. Instead of becoming a demon of mass destruction, this class can transform into what’s basically Ironman. He too can bring upon mass destruction with ease. Hypersync Mode also grants the Machinist a new set of skills.

The Machinist Up Close

The Lost Ark Machinist

Like all other classes in Lost Ark, the Machinist has two distinct class engravings that drastically alter his playstyle. The first is Evolutionary Legacy, the class engraving that enhances the Machinist’s Hypersync Suit Mode dramatically, making it deal more damage and letting the user swap forms more easily without penalty. Arthetinean Skill is the second engraving. This one focuses on Joint Skills that involve both the Machinist and Drone in tandem.

The Machinist’s skills are broken up into three different categories: Normal, Drone, and Joint. Normal skills heavily focus on the Machinist’s individual ability, especially with his trusty SMG. This includes the powerful Avalance that pelts foes with bullets in a cone in front of him.

The Hypersync Suit

Drone Skills are attacks that are performed solely by the mechanical companion. As such, they are all called “Command: Skill Name”. We have attacks such as Carpet which rains down carpet bombs, Raid Missile, which launches a barrage of projectiles, or even Baby Drones which summon tiny mechanical critters that latch onto foes and explode.

Last are the Joint Skills, which involve both the creation and the creator. Some of the flashy moves here are Annihilation Mode, in which the Drone and the Machinist rotate around in an area, showing everything nearby with bullets.

Server Merges Incoming

To help ensure that each and every region has servers with a healthy population, Amazon Games will be implementing server merges. These merges are more prominently being done in Western Europe (EUW), Central Europe (EUC), and South America (SA) regions. A second wave of merges is also planned for EUW and SA.

Amazon Games has posted on the official Lost Ark site the many guidelines that will help remind players how this change will affect players. For those with rosters on only one server, there will effectively be no changes whatsoever. The more tricky bit is if a player has a roster on two servers that will be joint. In this case, Amazon will consolidate rosters, currencies, items, and everything else. Nothing should be lost, except for items and achievements that truly cannot be duplicated.

South America

Lost Ark’s Arktoberfest

One nice event that Lost Ark surprised us with was the announcement last week of Arktoberfest. To celebrate the beloved annual festival, Oktoberfest, the heroes of Lost Ark can also choose to partake in their own version.

From now until October 3, various Lost Ark Twitch Streamers with drops enabled will let their audience receive a cute little Beer-Head Cosmetic. This is basically a mug of cold beer that characters will be forced to balance on their heads. Perfect opportunity to prove that you’re not drunk, and can definitely handle one more mug of ale.

A special weekend Fever Time event will also be happening. Instead of the usual Fever Time only being limited to Saturday and Sunday, this Arktoberfest will be extending it to four days. On September 22 to 24, a special Fever Time will spawn. This will give adventurers various food buffs, such as Sausages, Pretzels, and Gingerbread. Other very useful items can be claimed, such as Pheons and Dye packs.

The final weekend of September will also be a bang, as this will have even more rewards. A special reward track will be active from the weekend of September 3 to October 3. This track will progress as long as a player logs in and explores Arkesia for at least 30 minutes a day. Play on all 4 days with a minimum of 30 minutes a day and you’re sure to receive some great rewards!
