Bryan Cranston Leads Actors Strike With Powerful Speech
In a show of unstinted support for the Writer’s Strike, the Hollywood acting fraternity went on an Actor’s Strike to demand better pay and recognition for writers and actors in the entertainment industry. Many A-list actors have joined the movement and have contributed significant monetary sums to the SAG-AFTRA Foundation which is looking to rehabilitate people affected by the current events. Among the big celebrities, Bryan Cranston delivered a fiery and soul-stirring speech about the dangers of robotization of work that was rendering people jobless. The Golden Globe winner spoke at a Times Square rally and made a powerful statement saying,
“We don’t expect you to understand who we are. But we ask you to hear us, and beyond that to listen to us when we tell you we will not be having our jobs taken away and given to robots. We will not have you take away our right to work and earn a decent living.”

While Cranston was in agreement that everyone needs to move forward and embrace the developments of the future, he argued that the basic rights of people to work and earn an honest living should never change. The star, in no uncertain terms, said that the acting community will not stand for anything less than what was being demanded.
