To secure votes in The Sims 4, select any Sim and navigate toFriendly > Political Career > Secure Votes. By doing this, you’ll either succeed in the attempt and gain the Sim’s vote, or they’ll reject the offer, forcing you to ask someone else.

Once you secure a Sim’s vote, their vote will count toward any daily or promotion tasks you have for the politician career route. You’ll have to do this all the way to career level nine, giving you plenty of time to practice now.

Whenever my Sim gains a promotion and needs to secure more votes, I host parties and ask Sims to vote until I achieve the required amount for my new tasks. Doing this lets you quickly max out your charisma and network with multiple people to promote your cause. You can even invite new Sims over if you want to make a friend and find a potential new supporter.
