The Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter: Act I - Calculated Gambit is Yelan’s Story Quest, which covers the candidate selection process for the next Tianshu of the Liyue Qixing. The Story Quest is divided into three parts, the second of which is calledCandidature Analysis. It requires you to sneak up on Zhiyi and Linlang chatting in the North Wharf of Liyue Harbor. If you get caught, you need to start trailing them all over again. Here’s a breakdown of how you may remain unnoticed the entire time.
How to unlock Yelan’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact
The Umbrabilis Orchis Chapter: Act I - Calculated Gambit can be purchased from the Story Quests menu foroneStory Key. All playersAdventure Rank 40 and abovewho have completed the following requirements can begin Yelan’s Story Quest:

How to listen to Zhiyi and Linlang chat without getting caught in Yelan’s Story Quest in Genshin Impact
Once the trailing segment starts, run to the left andcrouchbehind the red wagon by clicking on theNormal Attackbutton. Reference the image above for the exact position you can take to not get caught. Once Linlang and Zhiyi start moving, remain crouched anddashas you move to the next position.
Move to the right andcrouchbeside the big red pot, then wait for Zhiyi and Linlang’s dialogue. When they start moving again, adjust your position while remaining crouched by using thedashbutton.
Move slightly forward andcrouchbehind the crates with a chest on top. Zhiyi and Linlang will continue to speak. Wait for them topart ways, then use theNormal Attackto switch to a standing position andchase after Zhiyi. This will prompt the Story Quest to continue with Yelan’s dialogue.
