The Goryo is a simple Ghost in Phasmophobia but one that many players can forget about. When trying to identify a Goryo, many players forget that one of its key pieces of evidence only shows up when looking through the lens of the Video Camera. A Goryo tends to stay in one location and normally only roams around to places close to its original Ghost Room. This is how to identify a Goryo in Phasmophobia.
All Goryo Evidence in Phasmophobia
TheGoryo’s unique evidence consists ofEMF 5,Fingerprints, andD.O.T.S. Projector. The Ghost will always have the D.O.T.S. Projector as part of its evidence on Nightmare difficulty, similar to how theHantuwill always have Freezing Temperatures. A Goryo will tend to stay in one place (or at least nearby) as well. When trying to identify a Goryo, players will have to look through the lens of a Video Camera to spot their silhouette going through the D.O.T.S. Projector.

The Strength of the Goryo refers to its ability to not show up for players while in the same room as it. It can still manifest itself. However, it will not show up when looking at the D.O.T.S. Projector unless the player is outside the room and looking through the lens of a Video Camera. Placing a Video Camera in the Ghost Room, either on a table or Tripod, players can try and look at the feed in the van to see if they can spot the Goryo.

The Weakness of the Goryo refers to the fact that the Ghost will rarely switch rooms too far from the starting Ghost Room. If the Ghost stays in the same spot for a long period of time, it is most likely a Goryo. The Ghost is still able to go to other locations, but it is much less likely compared to other Ghosts.
Misconceptions about the Goryo in Phasmophobia
One of the biggest misconceptions about theGoryois that all players must leave the Ghost Room in order to see it through the lens of theVideo Camera. While players are present in the Ghost Room, they will be unable to spot the Goryo with their naked eye or with the Video Camera, but players in the van will be able to spot the D.O.T.S. Projector silhouette. Additionally, players can step out of the Ghost Room for a short distance to be able to view the silhouette while checking through the Video Camera.
