On social media, Monday, Xbox confirmed the existence of aHollow Knight: Silksong demo at the European event Gamescom. After its lengthy development, fans of the Team Cherry series can play the follow-up in Germany. This has raised speculation that a release date for Hollow Knight: Silksong could be revealed during the event by Xbox. The console manufacturer is hosting a live broadcast on August 20 and 21.
Over 20 Demos From Xbox at Gamescom
Afterskipping Gamescom last year, Hollow Knight: Silksong will have a presence during the Cologne-based show in 2025. Xbox says there will be over 20 demos at the event, and the first playable ROG Xbox Ally handhelds will be showcased too. Hollow Knight: Silksong was directly marketed with the ROG Xbox Ally when that handheld was first announced, so it makes sense the game will be playable on that system and PCs.

Players will be able to get to grips with the new building system inWorld of Warcraft: Midnight. The expansion’s opening movie will also debut during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19.

If you’re at Gamescom this year, you’ll also be able to attend an exclusive theater presentation showcasing The Outer Worlds 2. It’s not playable, but it will give fans a “look inside the Tomb of the Matriarch” in a guided theater experience.
A playable demo usually means that the game is near completion and is likely to be released soon. Hollow Knight: Silksong is currently planned for a 2025 release date. The last and first game in the series scored well with critics with a 90 Top Critic average score onOpenCritic, with 99% of outlets recommending the title.
Hollow Knight hasextremely hard bosses, and we expect the same from the sequel.
