Mihoyo has announced the next update for Genshin Impact version 2.5 will release on February 16th along with a brand new five-star character.
Genshin Impact Version 2.5 Releases February 16th; New Playable Five-Star Character Yae Miko
Genshin ImpactVersion 2.5 will be released on February 16th. Along with it, a new playable character Yae Miko, a new exploration event inEnkanoymiya, new chapter about theRaiden Shogunand the ladies who are in charge ofInazuma. You will also get a chance to “DIY your own domain”.
A new trailer has been released previewing the new chapter, teasing of the enemies, challenges and the about the ancient Sacred Sakura which is located at the peak of Mt. Yougou.
The press release shares there will be new mechanics in Enkanomiya, story quests about the Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko, new Trounce Domain, reruns for characters Raiden Shogun andSangonomiya Kokomi.
New Five-Star Character Yae Miko
The new 5-star character Yae Miko will join in this update, utilising the Electro vision and wields an ElectroCatalyst. Both her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst provides Miko with constant damage off-field and high burst moves on the field.

New Seasonal Event “Three Realms Gateway Offering”
A new event will give players the chance to not only explore areas of Enkanomiya but also gain a special gadget called the Bokuso Box, to help resist the corrosive darkness. The chance to gain new abilities to defeat monsters with as well. As usual for new areas there are chests to open, Waypoints to unlock but also exploration objectives that will help level up the Bokuso Box. Players can also gain rewards such as Primogems and the new 4-star catalyst weapon called the Oathsworn Eye.
New Enemies
A new challenge is up ahead with new enemies found beneath the water in Enkanomiya including Standard Bearers, Line Breakers, and Defenders of the Shadowy Husk family. Each wield their own weapons, elements and abilities. The Standard Bearer can create shields and Shadowy Husks to strike shielded characters.
A new Trounce Domain will be available with the Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest, with plenty of challenges and combat mechanics to overcome.
Create Your Own Domain in the “Divine Ingenuity” Event
A new event will give players some creative freedom to customise their own domain. With options to choose from for terrain, mechanisms, traps, buffs and completion criteria.
Also coming to Genshin Impact is the Chasm, coming in Version 2.6, adding a new area to explore located in Liyue.
