Enshroudedhas confirmed versions forPlayStation and Xboxwhile continuing to update the success of an early access game, which has seen continuous changes suggested and prioritized by the players. Developed byKeen Games, the game is a mix of survival, action-adventure, RPG mechanics, building, and online multiplayer.
Enshrouded Is Coming to Consoles
The release has been one of the most successful of the year. Even though it had the misfortune of launching as an Early Access title just asPalworldreached its peak popularity, this open-world game with RPG and survival elements has achieved a success that even its creators didn’t expect.
This is evident as, according toKeen Games, the title has already accumulated more than three million players. Not bad, considering it has only been available on Steam. However, that’s not even the best news. The truly exciting news is that they have finally announced a release window for its console version.
The German developer made the announcement through a statement published directly on Steam: “It’s been almost eight months since the release ofEnshroudedas Early Access, and today we are pleased to announce that the game has surpassed 3 million players. During this time, we have released 3 major updates, 4 patches, 16 hotfixes, and several community events or contests… The team is working hard to keep the game growing while in Early Access, with our full release on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles planned for 2025.”
With these kinds of announcements, it’s always important to remember that the release is contingent upon the developers being able to complete a version of the game they are comfortable with. On the plus side, the work pace has been quite satisfactory so far, but on the downside, game optimization has long been a pending issue.
Despite everything, community feedback is positive. Considering all the reviews it has received on Steam since its launch,Enshroudedholds a “very positive” rating with 85% of votes in favor after nearly 50,000 reviews.
