Preserved Medusa Head
Where is Medusa?
Medusa lurks within the Caliginous Depths cave, nestled in thesouthwestern reaches of Bakbattahl. Venturing into this dank and dark lair requires preparation and courage, as the encounter with Medusa is fraught with danger.
This area is very difficult. If you have found your way here and are not at least level 25+, you’ll struggle a lot.

Ideal Vocations for Fighting Medusa
To stand a chance against Medusa and secure a preserved Medusa head, consider adopting the Thief, Fighter, or Warrior Vocation. These classes offer slashing weapons essential for the task at hand, with the Thief Vocation being particularly effective. Its agility and sharp weaponry allow for rapid engagement and disengagement, crucial for dodging Medusa’s lethal gaze.
If you have trouble getting big enemies to get knocked down, you should consider taking Warrior. Warrior will be able to knock Medusa to the ground fairly regularly, especially if you’re a very aggressive attacker.

How to Kill Medusa
The key to defeating Medusa lies in swift decapitation. Engage her by darting into the room and scaling her back while your Pawns distract her. Aim for her neck and unleash a barrage of attacks on her head. Persistence is crucial, as is maintaining your Stamina with restorative items.
Wait for the opportune moment when Medusa is stunned—indicated by her collapse—to deliver the final blow. Upon her defeat, you may collect the Preserved Medusa Head from her remains.

Using the Preserved Medusa Head
This unique item offers the ability to petrify monsters, turning the tables on your foes. Interestingly, it can also be used against Medusa in future encounters, earning you a special achievement. However, be mindful of its durability; the Preserved Medusa Headwill deteriorate over time and with use.
Conquering Medusa tests your mettle and rewards you with a powerful artifact in Dragon’s Dogma 2. With the right Vocation, preparation, and strategy, you can add the Preserved Medusa Head to your arsenal and leverage its petrifying power to dominate the battlefield.
