There’s only one place you may cook in Dragon’s Dogma 2:a campfire. It’s strange because you’d think you could cook dinners atyour house. Anyway, you’ll want to buy a camping kit and then find a campfire to set up a temporary resting spot. You can purchase them from Philbert’s Sundries in Vernworth, but there are probably more options for camping kits at other stores around the world. Heck, you may even havestored themearlier. Maybe while you’re in Vernworth, you can get ahaircut too.
Once the tents are set up, head to the fire and press the displayed button or key to start cooking. From here, there’s a selection of recipes to choose from. Unfortunately, everything revolves around meat. If you’re able to grab fish from the water, you surprisingly can’t cook a meal with them. Odd, right?

If you’re vegetarian or vegan, you may want to look away for the next part because an FMV cutscene plays of the meat being cooked. The characters then eat the meal off-camera, and it’s time to rest. Head over to the tents to sleep off the massive meal your character and pawns just ate.
Where do you get the ingredients?
Once again, vegetarians and vegans might shake their heads, but you’ll gain your ingredients by eliminating animals in the open world. Pigs, deer, and even rabbits aren’t safe from your party’s hunger. Don’tgive this meat as giftsas you’ll never know when you need them. Just ensure they don’t rot.
Do you get bonuses for certain meals?
Yes, there are stat boosts you’ll gain for eating every meal. However, some are better than others. For example, your party gains more boosts in strength, defense, and mana from cooking aBeast-Steakas opposed to aScrag of Beast.
