‘A Veil Of Gossamer Clouds’ is one such quest that becomes available after you get theBeastren Border Entry Permitfrom Captain Brant. Roaming around Vernworth will trigger an NPC to tell you that Sven is looking for you. However, his location will not be marked on the map.

How To Find Sven
Luckily, Sven is fairly habitual and is almost always found in hischambers in the castle. Enter the castle from the side entrance - the same one you used to enter duringDisa’s Plot- andfind Sven’s Chambers on the second floorat the far end of the hallway. This is also the location where we found the Torn Letter to complete the Disa’s Plot quest.
Talk to Sven, and he’ll inform you that he’s investigated Disa, and the clues lead toBattahl.There aretwo ways to enter Battahl, you’ll either need to progress the main story or take the mountain path west of Harve village.
If you’vefreed Waldhar from prisonby completing ‘The Heel of History’ and ‘The Caged Magistrate’ quests, bring him the unfinished letter that Sven gives you and he’ll translate what Disa means to say. This isn’t required to complete the quest but it adds more context to Disa’s true nature.
How To Complete ‘A Veil Of Gossamer Clouds’
The task details are clear: find your way toBakbattahland investigate theForbidden Magic Research Labfor evidence of Lord Phaseus’ involvement.
There are two Oxcarts that leave Vernworth, both to different destinations. The one by the east door leads to Melve, while the one by the west exit leads to Checkpoint Rest Town. Each Oxcart’s owner will always announce their destination when you talk to them about payment.
Before you leave Battahl, remember to place aPortcrystalin the city. There areno natural Portcrystalshere for you tofast travelto unless you put down one of your own.
Quest Rewards
Sven will read the letter to find out more details about Disa’s schemes and mark the quest complete. You’ll receive the following rewards.
Returning to Vernworth requires using three Oxcarts. However, if you have a Ferrystone handy, you canfast-traveldirectly to the Portcrystal in the city.
Remember toplace a personal Portcrystalbefore you leave as there are no localPortcrystals in Battahlfor you to take advantage of when you want to return later on.
