Microsoft confirms that Diablo 4 will be heading to Xbox Game Pass on March 28th, marking the first Blizzard of many to join the subscription service.
Diablo 4 Will Be the First New Blizzard Game to Join Xbox Game Pass
During the Xbox Business Update event today, Xbox president Sarah Bond unveiled massive news about Diablo 4. TheAction-RPGwas confirmed to be heading to Xbox Game Pass onMarch 28th 2024. So far it is not known what other games will be coming to Game Pass. But this means fans of Diablo 4 can check out the game without purchasing the full game and will only need a Game Pass subscription to access the title amongst the current catalogue of games.
Having D4 on the service will mean a wider reach of players, for those who have yet to set foot in the world of Sanctuary. This could also help boost the number of players in the run-up to the first DLC expansion which is set to release later this year.
The first expansion titleVessel of Hatredis expected to launch sometime in late 2024. It will introduce a new class, a new location and more. With the launch of Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass, it will have even further reach gaining a major player base.

New Beginnings
It was in late 2023 when Xbox had finalised the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. It was only time until we expected to hear when the gaming giant would bring over titles from the Blizzard arsenal. For now it looks like Diablo 4 will be the start of the games that will join Game Pass. It is a wonder what other games will follow. But one thing is for sure this is a major change for the future.
