Diablo 2 Resurrected Season 3 Begins February 16th with New Rune Words
Blizzard Entertainment has revealed details about Season 3 ofDiablo 2 Resurrected. This upcoming season will include a ladder reset, new rune words to enhance your builds, and several quality-of-life improvements. All of these additions are sure to delight fans who are familiar with the classic game, as well as those who have never played it before. Get ready for some exciting changes with new additions to Diablo 2!
Ladder Season 3
Season 3 kicks off on February 16th with patch 2.6 releasing one day earlier on February 15th. The Ladder Season 3 will have characters from the previous season transferred to the relevant non-ladder groups. Any items on hand in shared stashes from Season 1’s Ladder will be gone when the next season goes live. However, players will still be able to access their saved Season 2 items right up until the end of Season 3.
Runes Words & Sundering Charms
The introduction of eight new rune words at the start of Season 3. This includes runes that are geared towards increasing movement speed,AssassinandDruid Builds, and enhancing resistance. According to Blizzard’s patch notes, these rune words “sprinkle variety into the competitive meta” and provide players with new strategies to try out during the season. NewRune Wordsinclude Bulwark, Cure, Ground, Hearth, Temper, Hustle, Mosaic, and Metamorphosis.
Diablo 2 Resurrected is set to give fans more of the classic nostalgic experience, as it reintroduces all the features that made it such a beloved game. These include rune words and Horadric Cube recipes from previous seasons, as well asSundering Charmsthat enable new builds with enhanced enemy damage type immunity. All these features will be available in online and non-ladder game modes in this season.

Update to Terror Zones
Some changes to the classic Terror Zone system are being made. Going forward these zones will be playable in offline games, while additional zones being opened up as eligible Terror Zones. On top of this, the Kurast Sewers zone has been removed from the list as it was a particularly unpopular area within the game.
Blizzard Entertainment released the remastered version of Diablo II, known as Diablo II: Resurrected in 2021. This version came with renewed graphics, enhanced sound effects and other technical improvements. The game has also received balance updates and major meta shifts since its release. Meanwhile, fans of the franchise already have their sights set on Diablo IV, which is expected to be launched in June 2023.
