Recently, a speedrunner by the name, NaxHPL just set the world record for not only beating the game in under four hours, but also obtainingevery single achievementavailable inDark Souls.
This translates to tons offarmingfor the varioustitante oresandBoss Soulsto build everyweapon type, in addition to finding all of theembersrequired for thoseupgrades. To acquiring every singlemiracleandmagic spell, as well as joiningevery covenantand gaining ranks to obtain their exclusiveitems.

As with all speedruns, NaxHPL made heavy use of skips and glitches. Which in of itself requires an enormous amount of precision and concentration to be able to pull off a successful run. The previous world record in this category was4:02:01, but NaxHPL managed to shear off a few minutes, bringing it down to3:57:29.
