In the latest edition of ‘This Week At Bungie’, the studio behind the first-person shooter,Destiny 2, urged players on PlayStation 5 to ensure they are playing the correct version of the game for “the optimal experience for PlayStation goodness”.Bungiestated that they have “noticed a notable number of PS5 players playing the PS4 version of Destiny 2 on their current-generation consoles”. As such, the studio expressed that if players went the best experience possible, they should make sure to upgrade to the free PlayStation 5 version. Users on the latest firmware should notice a symbol next to each of their installed games, which states either ‘PS4’ or ‘PS5’. If you happen to be playing the PlayStation 4 version of Destiny 2 on a PlayStation 5, instructions on how to upgrade to the current-gen version can be found on the officialPlayStation website.

Alongside urging Destiny 2 players to actually play the correct version of the game, the latest blog post also confirmed that a new dungeon would be arriving on the first Friday of Season 19. “The new dungeon will drop on December 9 at 9 AM PDT”, Bungie announced. Plus, whilst the studio was on the topic of consoles, it was also announced that some texture changes were made on previous generation consoles, which include PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X.
