Bella Ramsey “eyed” for MCU role and it could be one of the X-Men
Bella Ramsey is reportedly being eyed for a “big” role in theMarvelCinematic Universe, and if a new rumor is true, it may be one of the new X-Men.
After a scene-stealing performance as Lyanna Mormont inGame of Thrones, Ramsey has risen to fame playing Ellie in HBO’sThe Last of Usadaptation.
Now, according to insider Daniel Richtman, they may be lining up their next major role – and it could be in the MCU.
“Bella Ramsey (The Last of Us) is being eyed for a big MCU role,”Richtman’s Patreon postreads, with no other details about who they’d end up playing or which project they’d show up in.

Obviously, take this with a huge pinch of salt. It’s unlikely we’ll find anything out about the MCU’s direction with X-Men and mutants until afterAvengers: Doomsday(at the very earliest; it’ll probably be postSecret Wars).
Ramsey also hasn’t expressed any interest in playing a hero in the MCU (or another franchise for that matter), but in 2023, they toldLADbiblethey’d want to play a villain.
“I’ve not really played a villain yet. So I want to play a baddie. But like a really interesting, intricate, complex baddie,” they said (you could argue Ellie is the villain of Abby’s story in The Last of Us, but that’s another conversation).

If you’re unfamiliar with Kitty Pryde, she’s a mutant with the ability to “phase” through objects, and she’s one of the youngest members of the X-Men. She’s technically appeared in live-action four times, but excluding cameos in the first two films, she was played by Elliot Page in X-Men: The Last Stand and Days of Future Past.
A Kitty Pryde movie was also in the works at 20th Century Fox before Disney’s takeover, and development came to a halt after The New Mutants was completed.
