Every time something new has been revealed aboutBattlefield 6, fromno non-military skinstoconsole players getting mouse and keyboard support. It has been winning fans over and securing their hopes that the franchise may finally be making a comeback.

However, in a recent interview withGNN, we learned that Battlefield 6 will add AI bots to the matches when the servers are not full. This has many fans disappointed, as most of the players do not want bots in their matches. Luckily, a server browser could be a solution to avoid having bots in your game.

Battlefield 6 Could Use Server Browser To Avoid Adding Bots In Matches

Alexia Christofi, Producer at DICE, recently made an X (formerly Twitter)tweeton wanting to understand why players want a server browser, before going into the details or explaining what they are doing with the game.

Almost all the responses were in favor of adding a server browser. The biggest pros of being able to choose servers are that players have more freedom in map selection. Aside from that, you also get to play on servers with better ping.

Battlefield 6 Crossplay Details Explained

This seems like a good compromise.

There is a minority that does not want this feature, where one of the complaints was that popular maps will have all the players, and no one will be playing unpopular maps. While this may sound like a convincing argument on the surface, others quickly pointed out that this wouldn’t be a solution for unpopular maps, as players can still leave the match.

After going through the various player concerns, Alexia responded to their original post with afollow-uphighlighting the majority of what the players want with the server browser. Inpart 2of the follow-up, they suggested portal to be the solution for it:

I think our server browser solution answers all these wants. Yes, it’s via portal and shows community experiences, but these can award full XP, will be front and center in our main menu, not hidden - and will allow you to filter and search for specific things you want.

But the good news is, inpart 3of the post, they said, “We can talk more about if/why it feels like it’s not enough at a later date!” So there is some hope that, based on the Open Beta feedback, they may consider adding a server browser or come up with some alternate solution.

Unfortunately, for now, as per the Breakthrough Initiationposton EA’s official website. New players up to level 15 can fight alongside bots.

So, depending on the players' experience with bots during the Open Beta and whether they still want a server browser, EA may consider adding it when the game officially releases on August 10, 2025.
