Ubisoft announced over the weekend that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launching this November, putting it head to head with Cyberpunk 2077.

During the Ubisoft Forward live stream today they revealed that the upcoming viking set Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be launching officially onNovember 17th 2020on Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It will also be coming to Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 when these next-gen platforms launch.

As well as announcing the launch date, Ubisoft also showed off some new gameplay for Valhalla. The trailer takes a closer look at core mechanics which follows previous Asssassin’s titles but with some key changes. Fans can expect elements that they’ve seen in Odyssey and Origins, which are now more refined in Valhalla.

But there are some major changes to core gameplay, the biggest change being combat. Players will now need to keep an eye on the Stamina meter. This means you’re able to’t simply spam attacks but will have to be more strategic in combat.

There are also similarities to Action-RPGs such asDark Souls, where players will have health items much like the Estus Flasks.Eivorcan heal himself/herself throughout the game but only through a food item. Food can be replenished by gathering materials in the game’s world, which includes vegetables, herbs and berries.

What’s also exciting is that you may dual-wield any set of weapon combinations including doubles shield,Shieldscan be used as a brunt force to hit enemies and charge at them. There is also the return of stealth, using a hood and cloak, making yourself blend into the crowd.
