With just two episodes left inArrow Season 3, The CW has released a new preview for next week’s penultimate episode,“This Is My Sword”, airing Wednesday, May 6 at 8 PM ET. One of the surprising moments revealed in just 30 seconds of footage is our first look atRila Fukushimain her full Katana costume. Of course, fans have seen her character Tatsu, the former wife of Maseo (Karl Yune) during a number of flashback scenes inArrow Season 3, but this is the first time we’ve seen her suit up as Katana.
This trailer also shows that the former Oliver, now known as Al Sah-him (Stephen Amell) finishes his training and is left with two final tasks to become the next Ra’s al Ghul. We see Ra’s (guest starMatthew Nable) telling Oliver/Al to literally “bring death” to Starling City, but not before he marries Ra’s daughter, Nyssa (Katrina Law). Another surprise is Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) aligning himself with Team Arrow, as he joins Black Canary (Katie Cassidy), Diggle (David Ramsey), Katana and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) to square off with Al Sah-him, although it doesn’t seem to end well for them.
While things seem quite dark for TeamArrow, there could be a light at the end of the tunnel, since the season finale, airing on May 13, is entitled"My Name Is Oliver Queen", which could either indicate that Oliver cuts ties with the League of Assassins, or, as unlikely as it may be, someone else assumes the identity of Oliver Queen.
