Artificer Class and Subclasses
If you’re a D&D fan, you probably know about the Artificer class. Sadly, it wasn’t introduced in Baldur’s Gate 3, but modders can help with that.The Artificer class is all abouttinkering and inventing things to use in and out of combat. Not only can you be an Artificer with theArtificer Class and Subclassesmod, but there are four subclasses as well!
Alchemists create concoctions, Armorers specialize in modifying armor, Artillerists can wield weapons like guns, and Battle Smiths are both protectors and medics. There are four extremely different playstyles just with those subclasses, which makes this a very cool mod to try out.
Blood Hunter Class
Pulled right from the beautiful brain of Matthew Mercer from Critical Role, the Blood Hunter class is now in Baldur’s Gate 3! With theBlood hunter Classmod,you’re able to use blood magic and rites for monster hunting.
You essentially have to harm yourself to get some very interesting abilities. Currently, there are two subclasses, which are Order of the Lycan and Order of the Ghostslayer. This Intelligence-based martial class is perfect for you if you want your character to use features like Blood Maledict and Crimson Rite.
Classes Unleashed
Not only do you get one expanded class, but this modder has created mods for every single class! Mods likeSorcerer UnleashedandBarbarian Unleashed, among the rest,all expand the current classes available.

Cleric Subclasses
Are you not satisfied with the already large amount of Cleric subclasses available? Well, thisCleric Subclassesmodadds subclasses like Arcana, Blood, Death, Forge, Grave, Order, Peace, and Twilight.
Not only that, but you gain the ability to level up to level 20. Baldur’s Gate 3’s level cap is 12, but this mod allows you Cleric to gain incredible abilities at high levels. It also does the same for the original subclasses, as they can gain abilities up to level 20!
Multiclass Unlocker
I was kind of disappointed to find out that you aren’t allowed to multiclass in Explorer difficulty mode. Sometimes even the easiest difficulty can get hard in later levels, but this changes with theMulticlass Unlockermod.
This modallows you to multiclass at any difficulty level. It works for anyone in new campaigns or mid-playthrough games. It’s a pretty simple mod, but it’s great for players who don’t enjoy the harder difficulties, but want to multiclass. This honestly should be a feature in the game, but who cares now that there’s a mod to fix it!
Hexblade Subclass
There are plenty of mods on Nexusmods that give players access to beloved classes and subclasses from D&D. One of these amazing subclasses in theHexblade Subclassfor Warlocks. With this mod,you’ve made a pact with the Shadowfell, and you’re able to now create magic weapons.
You’ll have access to some wicked abilities like Accursed Specter, which can curse someone’s soul. There are also new spells introduced like Banishing Smite and Staggering Smite. Death Knight Class
Here’s a whole new class for you to play with. TheDeath Knight Classmod allows you to be a Death Knight, which is apopular class from World of Warcraft. Although this is an entirely different game, it’s interesting to see mods including classes from other games and franchises.
The Death Knight is all about the Rune System. There are Blood, Frost, and Unholy runes, which can give you Runic Power. All three resources are subclasses, and they each offer unique abilities and spells. This mod has more than 30 custom spells and passives, so consider being a Death Knight in your next playthrough.
Rogues Extra
Rogues in Baldur’s Gate 3 only have three subclasses, but this mod changes that. TheRogues Extramodadds more popular Rogue subclasses such as Phantom, Inquisitive, Soulknife, Swashbuckler, and more!
It’s hard to choose now which Rogue subclass you should go for. They all offer different playstyles and abilities familiar to D&D fans. If you like having Astarion in your party but you don’t like the current Rogue subclasses, try out this mod.
Invocations Expanded
Looking back at Warlocks, they have a ton Invocation choices. But what if there were even more?Invocations Expandedadds many more Invocations from the Player’s Handbook, as well as Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything.
These guidebooks have plenty of Invocations not available in Baldur’s Gate 3, like Grasp of Hadar that pulls enemies towards you with Eldritch Blast. Or there’s Ascendant Step to cast Fly without spending a spell slot. I felt a little tired with the current Invocation options, so this is a refreshing mod to see.
Circle of Stars Druid Subclass
Last but not least, thisCircle of Stars Druid Subclassmod adds exactly what you think it adds. The Circle of Stars subclass gives your Druidthe ability to draw power from starlight. Since there are only three Druid subclasses, this is a nice mod to see.
There are plenty of amazing class features in this mod. Star Map gives you the Guidance cantrip, as well as Guiding Bolt with no spell slot required. Starry Form allows you to Wild Shape into a starry form with its own unique abilities. If you read the mod page, you’ll see so many more intriguing features, which makes me want torespecmy Druid into this subclass.
